April 26 – April 28

Russian Grill Fest will be held at Flacon. The chiefs from dozens of Moscow’s restaurants and cafes will present grilled dishes based on the recipes from 10 different counties. Don’t miss out The Barbeque Championship on the weekend! Entrance is free. Operating hours 13.00 – 22.00.

The annual Holi Music Festival of Colors will be held on June 12, and will feature a musical program, competitions, outdoor attractions and 50 tons of color painting for all the festival’s visitors .Ticket prices will be announced shortly. The International Knight Festival ‘Tournament of St. George’ will be held in Moscow at the Kolomenskoye museum-reserve in the end of April 2019.Nine most famous knights from Russia, Norway and France will compete at the 4th St. George International Tournament.Participants of the festival will joust with solid wood spears, fight in team fisticuffs and one-on-ones with two-handed melees. The “Times and Epochs” Festival is the biggest historical festival in Europe. This year the festival is dedicated to the most influential events and people in the history of Russia. The festival will open in the city centre and in Kolomenskoye Park. Entrance is free!

The Barbecue festival is scheduled for July in Sokolniki Park with 150 participants for the best city restaurants. More than 30 meat-focused restaurants, chefs and grill experts will prepare delights to satisfy every guest. Entrance is free!

The International Military Music Festival – ‘Spasskaya Tower’ opens by the end of August on Red Square.The best of Russian and foreign military bands and folk groups, as well as honorary guard units of the heads of states, will take part in the event. The best of Russian and foreign military bands and folk groups, as well as honorary guard units of the heads of states, will take part in the event. At the end of each performance a joint band of all the participants – around 1,500 musicians – will appear on the Red Square. All the musicians will play the final chords to the salvoes of the salute, with the light show on St. Basil’s Cathedral as the background.

September 

The city of Moscow celebrates its  birthday in the beginning of September. Parades and fairs, carnivals and concerts, artists’ shows and traditional grandiose fireworks are all planned in celebration of the holiday.The festival venues are scattered throughout the city, however the main events are traditionally held on Tverskaya Street, in the Red Square, on Vasilievsky Slope, Poklonnaya Hill and Sparrow Hills. The Circle of Light Moscow International Festival is an annual event at which light designers and 2D and 3D graphic designers utilize the urban space of Moscow as canvas for multimedia and light installations. Entrance to any Festival venue is free. The annual Christmas festival “Journey Into Christmas” will take place steps from Red Square with dozens of special stalls and tents, playgrounds and stages.
