The New Circle Line
The new Bolshaya Koltsevaya line (the New Circle Line) will provide better transport accessibility for five Moscow districts. The new metro line will also provide expanded access to the most famous sites for the FIFA 2018 Championship such as the Moscow City business center, the Dinamo and TsSKA stadiums, and the Megasport sports palace.
With an area of 2,5 thousand square kilometers, the capital boasts a broad network of public transport. Due to the notorious traffic on the streets, the Moscow metro, though one of the youngest city transport systems, is one of the most popular among citizens and tourists. The metro carries about nine million people every day, with the minimum headway being only 90 seconds – these are the best figures in the world.
By the way…
A special train with 3D posters, dedicated to 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, has been running on the Koltsevaya metro line.
