The festival was supposed to kick off at Moscow’s Orangery.

Piano Day, a annual worldwide event takes place on the 88th day of the year all around the world– in 2020 it’s the 28th March – because of the number of keys on the instrument being celebrated. The concerts in Moscow were suspended to July 30. But you can watch the best European pianists on March 28 online here.

Coronavirus in Moscow

71 more cases have been confirmed today in Russia, rising the total to 438. 17 people have recovered from the virus. Moscow continues to have the highest concentration of COVID-19 cases with 262. Dozens of cases came from 18 different regions of Russia.

According to Russia’s Operational Headquarters, the new patients got infected abroad.

All visitors currently inside Russia, whose visit visas are about to expire (or expired already!), will be allowed to extend their stay, if they are not able to get back home, according to the new statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia!

All they have to do is to apply to one of the offices headed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs within their place of residence. This order came into effect today on March 19. Holders of all types of visit visas who are inside the country will be able to extend their stay, according to the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Irina Volk.
